Katy Hogben BSc MB BS FRCS
Consultant Breast and Reconstructive Surgeon
Katy qualified from the Royal London Hospital in 1993. As well as her medical degree she was awarded a BSc in Pathology. She progressed through her basic surgical training in hospitals both in East and West London. Her specialist training was based at St George’s hospital and she rotated through many of the hospitals in Surrey and the South West. Katy was awarded a nationally competitive oncoplastic fellowship and spent this time between the Royal Marsden Hospital and the St Andrews Plastic and Reconstructive unit in Chelmsford.
In 1996 Katy was appointed Consultant Breast and Reconstruction at Charing Cross Hospital, part of Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust. The unit treats over 350 breast cancers a year and is a NHS breast screening centre. Last year she personally treated 150 breast cancers surgically and saw over 1,500 women with breast complaints. She has recently submitted a PhD to the University of Surrey on a rare form of breast cancer and teaches regularly at the Royal College of Surgeons.
Katy practises at Brompton Cross and Wandsworth.
